Negation in English is how we say no or deny something: 'don't', 'isn't', 'never', 'nothing'. We usually need an auxiliary + not, or negative words like 'no', 'never', 'nobody'. Getting negation right avoids confusion.
With most verbs: subject + do/does/did + not + verb ('I don't know'). With 'be': subject + am/is/are/was/were + not ('She isn't here'). We also use 'no', 'never', 'nothing', 'nobody' in the right place. Rozy corrects negation errors as you speak.
We use negatives often to correct, deny, or clarify. Wrong negation ('I no understand') can block understanding. Practice in full sentences with feedback fixes this quickly.
